Finding Inspiration in Every Turn
Almost half a century - from 1979 to 2026 - have been exciting for HDNPC and the communities we've reached at large. In the past 46 years, we raised and leveraged millions of dollars in development financing four major projects in San Francisco and have now expanded our territories to Selma, Alabama and Baltimore, Maryland. HDNPC is proud that we have infused our community with an abundance of value in the provision of safe, affordable housing, commercial parking, commercial spaces for small businesses, and city centers for the youth and elderly.
Indeed, our accomplishments come from the dedication of a volunteer board of directors and those in the community, public and private sectors who support and believe in our projects.
Our Story
HDNPC was formed in 1979 to serve San Francisco's low income Hispanic community. Since then, we have come to address the housing needs of San Francisco and beyond. Although our focus is on housing, our projects impact entire neighborhoods to encourage economic, social and physical improvements. Our housing activities encompass new construction, the acquisition and rehabilitation of multi-family buildings, and property management - each project has been creative and unique as a model for the development of affordable housing and homeownership.
